Lets Play Catch Up

sorry i have not been on in forever, i have been feeling so good that i have been trying to catch up on everything else. it is really amazing my sugars are still out of whack at times BUT with the asthma medication i really feel a lot better i have been bad though i have not been reading my favorite blogs so hopefully in the next couple of weeks i will be trying to catch up.
Both the boys are out of school for the summer, Jason will be going to Jr High next year and Jared will be going to the new 6th grade campus.Jason wants to play for the football team we will have to wait and see how that goes practice starts in Aug and the heat already is bad..
In March baseball season started. Jason has finely gotten the hang of baseball he is a monster hitting the ball now as for Jared he has decided that he LOVES being a catcher and wants to play baseball again next year... Jared's team also volunteered to work the challenger games that month it was really great watching him help the special needs kids and he really enjoyed doing it he would like to do it again next year i was told in no uncertain terms got to love the kid
Jason was in his first play in April he did really well for being so shy he was very well spoken
also in April a very good friend of mine turned forty so we all went out to dinner to celebrate at Vic & Antony's it was the first time i had been there and the food was yummy.and on a whole different note a very dear friend passed away in April, for those of you who read this you know that i have a very dear friend Becky from collage i have mentioned her before, well her husband Wayne passed away he was 56 years old the man was great with kids and always there for what ever he adored Becky the way she should have been loved that alone brought him up high in my esteem he was always helping any one that needed help this tragedy brought an old friend back in my life so he was still helping out after he was gone.... this friend and i had grown apart and i hope now that it will bring us together again we have been friends for over 35 years and i still consider her my best friend in the world.
May did not start any better another friend passed away her and her daughter took me in and loved me when my own mother had passed away, Madeline was an amazing women she had eye problems but she managed to speak on it as often as she could, she had been to DC earlier in the year to speak on it, she worked at the food pantry at the church and again she always helped anyone in need again way to young to die she was 64 YO i still find myself weeping every now and then for her. i could not even bring myself... i went to the church and at the start of the mass i had to leave, i could not visit her body during the wake either, i know that makes me an awful friend but this was a really tough loss
Also in May Jason did a habitat project in Oyster Bay Texas the 6th grade class planted grass in the bay to help with the grass that has been lost it was pretty neat we all had fun even if it was a wee bit hot and the drive was a little over an hour of course my ac gave out in my car again what is that about being married to a mechanic ? opps sorry service technician lol
i also did a scrap booking weekend with my friend Terri and my niece LeeAnn we had a wild but fun time got to love those girls
and i am sitting here a million things are going through my head, the summer is going to start in a few days official
tomorrow is memorial day a day to remember the friends and family members that passed giving their life to our country, it reminds me of when my mother had told me during WWII they would sit by the radio to hear a roll call of those that died to hear if any one they knew passed away, and then they would light candles at the windows in memory of the fallen i have always connected that with this day ... we will put flags leading up to our side walk, before i leave for the gym... so i do not know when i will return but i am going to try as often as possible, i could not load any pictures tonight but i will try soon...
