ok all of you who know us know that we are not church goers well that is going to have to change, the boys know about God and why Easter happens and why Christmas happens, they know to pray and to thank God for the little things BUT.....
i bought the boys Bibles for Easter, Jason being the little reader he is proceeded to sit down and start reading his.
well half way through Genesis he stops and wants to know why there has been no mention of Lilly, Lilla no wait mom Lilith. James and i ask who? well Adams first wife duh? the look he gives us is like where did we crawl out of that we did not know this. now we do know the story because we are big History Chanel fans. so we ask him where he heard of her from and again the look and the history channel is the big guys answer. now when he has stuck his head out of a book long enough to pay attention to what we are watching is beyond me but there you go. and he had more info to impart on us also and the fact that Cain and Able were married where do you think the wives came from? they could not be sisters because that is just gross but some how these women belong to Lilith ( don't ask how she had kids that is a whole a other story i am sure)
so it is time to find a structured religion i think so being the mom that i am i will look into the Catholic church ( to appease James family) the LDS church ( to appease my family) and then settle for a non denomination.

I saw that HC show too (Banned from the Bible) and it's the first I heard of a first wife too.

So anyway. . . if it makes you feel any better about the whole Lilith thing, he could also have picked that up from one of the Narnia books; I seem to recall Aslan explaining that the witch wasn't a Daughter of Eve because she came from Adam's starter marriage to Lilith. . .
And when I mentioned that to my mother, she just about lost her mind!
i did not even think about that he reads all of those books twice i think along with Harry Potter, he reads the series when ever a new movie comes out. but he was very specific that it was from the HC some times i forget that they are little boys
